If you read this blog, you probably already know about this event and you probably also know you should go to this event, because it’s a great way to see lots of great bands for very little money. You also probably heard that Click and Clack are giving away free bracelets and free stuff… but again… just in case you can’t spare 20 singles from your Tycoon’s stash… free. There’s plenty of bands on here you meant to go see, or were planning to go see, but didn’t go see because you found a beer in the back of the fridge and a Drivers, Dinners and Dives marathon on Food TV. I get it… go anyway. You could also head out to Rochester for the Factory’s free Gold Music and Arts festival… yes it is many of the same bands as Fucking Awesome, but not exactly and the lineup is really geared towards one main event on Sunday. Personally, it’s a lot closer for me to head downtown… but if it was easier to get out to Northern Oakland county, I wouldn’t hesitate to prioritize this event over FA.  They should be cool with that anyway… after all it seems disingenuous to drive 60 miles round trip to an environmentally minded event. It’s a good week for Detroit music people, get off your ass at least one night and see a show. I’ll give my F’n A picks later in the week… I’m hoping to strike a balance so you don’t shit yourself with anticipation, but also don’t shit yourself when your mind gets blown when my knowlege drops.
