But yet those same hipsters like Metric, who’s current single could easily be a Milley Cyrus jawn… it’s a decent pop jam, but I bet most of the Emily Haynesers wouldn’t touch it if it was packaged as some Disney approved radio rock. growingpangs: It’s amazing how divisive a venue can be. Metric is playing The Cubby Bear tonight, and for those not in the know, the Cubby Bear is at the heart of Wrigleyville, home of countless douchebag frat boy drunks and their Trixie girlfriends (as well as the Chicago Cubs). Anyhow, I know a lot of people that refuse to go strictly on those grounds alone, knowing full well that Metric will not be playing a smaller venue like that anytime soon. That’s just more of the ridiculous hipster snobbery that drives me crazy. (Although I’m sure I contribute to it sometimes.)
